Capturing Life, Work, and Impact Stories Through Photography and Film

Saskia Albers Photography & Films

Storytelling documentary Family, Branding and Charity Photographer based in South-East London

Nice to meet you, I’m Saskia

I am a Dutch photographer and filmmaker, and mum of two, based in Bromley, London.

I want you to feel seen, valued, and remembered — to tell your story with honesty and warmth.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m probably hanging laundry (argh, does it ever end?), bathing my kids, dreaming of far-flung travels or listening to podcasts (my favourites are Heavyweight and Where Should We Begin).

My work is rooted in noticing the beauty of real life — the chaos and tenderness of family, the passion and creativity that drives small businesses, and the heart of charities making a difference.

More About Me

Family Photography

Family life is never picture-perfect — and that’s exactly why it’s beautiful.
Family Photography

Your beautiful chaotic family life captured in photos.

You want family photography that feels honest. The love, chaos, sticky fingers, tears, quibbles, and belly-laughs that remind you just how much love fills your everyday life.

With me as your photographer, you won’t need to pose, or ‘say cheese’ and there is absolutely no pressure to behave a certain way. Be yourselves! It’s my job to notice the little things you might overlook and capture them with care. So that years from now these photos transport you straight back and show you a wonderful slice of your real life.

Business & Branding

Brand Photography

Brand Photos That Feel Like You

Your work matters. Whether you’re healing, teaching, designing or creating, it’s the passion you pour into your craft, the spark that makes you light up when you talk about it, the values that drive you forward. That’s what your photographs should show. Not the same old headshots, not awkward poses and definitely not a cookie-cutter “brand shoot.”

Your story is in good hands

What matters most is that you love your photographs and films, and that the experience feels relaxed. The rest — 15 years of experience, awards, and wonderful clients — is simply reassurance that you can trust me with your story.

I'd Love To Work With YOU

All of my clients can expect to be affirmed, included, and celebrated, regardless of skin colour, gender identity, sexuality, age, religion or disability. Everyone is welcome and I endeavour to provide a photography & film service that makes everyone feel safe and accepted just as they are.

FAQs

Booking a photographer or filmmaker can bring up questions. Here are a few I’m often asked.

  • What’s your style — what kind of photographer/filmmaker are you?

I work in a documentary, storytelling style, capturing real moments, emotions, and connections rather than posed or “perfect” images. Whether it’s your family, your business, or charity work, I focus on the small gestures, genuine relationships, and everyday details that make your story unique. The result? Honest, personal, and full-of-life images and films that truly show how things feel.

  • I hate having my photo taken. Can you help me feel comfortable?

Absolutely, you’re not alone! Most people feel the same way, and the nerves usually go away quickly once we start. I take my time to get to know you beforehand, so you don’t feel like I’m a complete stranger. You won’t need to ignore me either.  I’m more like a friend who chats, laughs, and hangs out with you while capturing real, magical moments. My goal is to make every session relaxed and fun, whether it’s a family cuddle, a behind-the-scenes brand shoot, or a charity story. That way your photos and films feel natural and authentic.

  • Do you work with people who are neurodivergent?

Absolutely. My documentary, storytelling approach works especially well for neurodivergent people because it flows with your rhythms, feelings, and needs rather than forcing you into a rigid structure. Sessions are collaborative: you set the pace, and I adapt to your world, your schedule, and your comfort level. Whether that means taking extra time, pausing, or adjusting how we work together, it’s all possible. The aim is always the same –  to capture genuine, honest moments in a way that feels safe, natural, and enjoyable for you. • Why are you interested in the future?

My camera is like a time machine. It captures moments and safely transports them into the future. When you look at your photos or films, whenever that may be, it’ll feel like no time has passed at all. They’ll feel as real and alive as you do right now.

Whether it’s your family, your business, or the stories you’re part of, what we choose to capture and send to the future matters. I focus on preserving the gestures, emotions, and connections that make life meaningful, so that these moments can be revisited, remembered, and treasured for years to come.

  • What if I want to work with you and live outside London?

Yes, I’d still love to work with you! I can travel throughout the UK and internationally to capture your family, brand, or charity story.

There’s no travel cost for locations within London. For locations outside London, travel fees may apply depending on distance, and overnight stays may be required for longer trips. I’ll always let you know what’s needed so everything is clear before we book.
